Masseria del Feudo is a historic agricultural company of the Cucurullo family present in Caltanissetta, in a land where tradition is supported by innovation.
Masseria del feudo: a company that is family history
The history of Masseria del fief begins in 1906 when great-grandfather Salvatore purchased a large portion of the ancient fief from the Branciforti Princes. Today the company is led by the fourth generation of the Cucurullo family with brothers Francesco and Carolina and continues to be founded on family values and ideals.
Committed to promoting agriculture and viticulture, Masseria del feudo has a total area of 110 hectares of olive groves, orchards and vineyards. The vineyards extend for 15 hectares on a hilly surface and are located within a strip of land that has seen the cultivation of vines since 1860. The cultivated vines are the native Nero d'Avola, Ansonica and Grillo and the international Syrah and Chardonnay.
The plants are grown in counter-espalier fashion with a spurred cordon pruning system. The age of the vineyards is 8 years and the soil has a medium clay composition.
Masseria del Feudo wines: quality organic Sicilian wines
Inside the ancient rural buildings of the old farm, the brothers Francesco and Carolina Cucurullo decided to create a cellar for the production of organic wines.
On our TerraMadre.it store you can buy quality white and red wines, such as the Nero d'Avola Via Rossa, the Syrah and the Grillo Voce di Lago.
For Masseria del feudo, producing organic wines means respecting the environment, raising production quality and safeguarding the land, making it increasingly fertile.
