The Classic Colomba with Raisins and Candied Citrus Fruits is an artisan dessert produced by the renowned Forno Monastra, a reality present in Castell'Umberto, on the Nebrodi Mountains, since 1958. The careful selection of high quality raw materials, the craftsmanship, the slow leavening and the use of sourdough are the characteristics of this extraordinary Easter cake. Covered with a light icing of sugar and chopped almonds, the dough is soft, smooth and fragrant, enriched with raisins and candied citrus fruits. An excellent artisanal and organic product, made in Sicily, perfect for exchanging Easter greetings, and not the usual Easter dove.
Ingredients: Type 0 soft wheat flour, butter, brown sugar, 10% raisins, egg yolk, 7% candied orange peel, glucose-fructose syrup, brown sugar, lemon juice), natural yeast ( type "0" soft wheat flour, water), toasted almond paste, rice malt (barley malt, rice), vanilla, salt.
