Acqueverdi Gin - La Valdôtaine
Acque Verdi Gin is produced by the La Valdôtaine distillery, in Saint-Marcel in the Aosta Valley. At 1400 meters above sea level, on the mountains behind the distillery, the Acqueverdi spring gushes out, on whose banks grow the botanicals that make this alpine gin unique. The botanicals of Acqueverdi (Gentian, Elderflower, Mallow, Alpine rose, Pine buds, Fir needles, Genepy, Mountain pine) are infused and macerated separately in alcohol and then distilled separately at low temperature. The base of this aromatic gin is the juniper distillate, obtained not only from berries but also from juniper sprigs, according to the ancient tradition of juniper liqueur. The different spirits are then combined with skilful balance and, thanks to the water from the Acqueverdi spring, the result is a unique gin with a strong minerality.
