GIN with pomace of Malvasia delle Lipari
Gin Punta Aria is a gin flavoured with Mediterranean botanicals, the main one being the pomace of Malvasia delle Lipari from our vineyard in Vulcano. In addition to this, pink grapefruit, bergamot, rosemary, sage, thyme and basil are added. Alongside the classic juniper, coriander and cardamom these scents evoke memories and those ancestral sensations that those who have visited the Aeolian Islands know well.
Tasting
Gin compound produced with an infusion of juniper and pomace of Malvasia delle Lipari together with a distilled gin with a very classic profile. The citrus and fresh notes of juniper and grapefruit stand out on the nose as well as a reminiscence of bergamot. On the palate it is oily, concentrated and slightly savoury with a vertical note of rosemary, juniper and thyme. The long finish leaves a balsamic sensation of cardamom and liquorice (but not present in the botanicals). Even wet with ice it remains well concentrated and of beautiful aromatic intensity.
