Grappa Nonino Vendemmia Riserva 18 Months – 100% Artisan distillation and 0% colourants
Velvety and persistent, Grappa Nonino Vendemmia Riserva 18 Months is a blend of grappas from fresh pomace of Friuli grapes. Produced with discontinuous artisan distillation in copper steam stills and without dyes, it is left to age for over 18 months in barriques and small barrels. Grappa Vendemmia Riserva 18 Months is excellent to sip while reading a book or smoking a good cigar.
The Grappa Vendemmia Riserva 18 Months of the Nonino Distillery originates from the over 100-year-old tradition of the Nonino family which in Ronchi di Percoto produces fine distillates from fresh and selected pomace with artisanal distillation.
Raw material: fine selected pomace, freshly harvested, soft and carefully de-stemmed from Friuli grapes.
Fermentation: pure in an anaerobic environment in stainless steel vats, immediately followed by distillation to avoid harmful secondary fermentations.
Distillation: 100% artisan discontinuous distillation with the cutting of the heads and tails, in particular exclusive copper steam stills. The distillation takes place very slowly to allow the volatile components, responsible for the perfumes, a correct evaporation and consequent condensation while keeping the precious organoleptic characteristics of the chosen vine intact.
Resting: from 6 months to a year in stainless steel containers.
Natural ageing: Over 18 months in barriques and small casks in the owned aging cellars under seal and permanent surveillance by the Customs and Monopolies Agency. Bottled 0% colourants.
Toasting Barriques and small casks: Traditional and artisanal.
Bottle: transparent in blown glass, with color and glitter screen printing, glass stopper passed with diamond grinding wheel.
Alcohol content: 41% vol.
Colour: clear and amber with golden reflections.
Nose: elegant with hints of vanilla, pastry, chocolate and spices.
Palate: in the mouth it is rich, velvety, enveloping and persistent.
Service temperature: at room temperature.
Method of service: in a large ballon-type glass. Before tasting, it must rest for a few minutes in the glass: by oxygenating itself, the aromas are enhanced, the nose-palate harmony is completed.
Pairings: at the end of a lunch, with a good cigar or to sip while reading a book. Perfect with cheeses, foie gras, bitter chocolate, dry or chocolate-based desserts. Try it in aperitifs and cocktails, such as the Nonino Ginger, a thirst-quenching and slightly spiced cocktail that will win you over.
