Aska Bolgheri Rosso DOC 2022 Banfi Wineries

Banfi's Aska Bolgheri Rosso is one of the best Italian wines produced from international grapes according to the unique style of Banfi. Only the best selection of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes grown on the particularly suitable terroir of Castagneto Carducci, an exclusive municipality of Bolgheri DOC. Combining tradition and innovation from cultivation to winemaking, Banfi gives life to this excellent Bolgheri red wine, a powerful and concentrated wine, with a compact texture, but at the same time of great freshness.

Vineyards: vineyards located between the beaches of northern Maremma and the hills surrounding Castello Carducci

Climate: year characterized by drought until mid-August. The arrival of rains in the second half of August contributed to the good ripening of the grapes

Harvest: manual, started early during the third week of August and finished at the end of September

Fermentation: in stainless steel fermenters at 25-28°C with pumping over and delestage

Malolactic fermentation: carried out

Aging: in 225-liter French oak barriques for approximately 12 months

Alcohol content: 14.5% vol

Color: intense ruby ​​red with purple reflections

Nose: intense and complex bouquet with hints of blueberry and fruit jam followed by notes of pepper, tobacco and cocoa

Palate: soft with sweet and elegant tannins. The finish is long and persistent

Pairings: red wine perfect with game dishes, cured meats and mature cheeses
