With Antonio Nonino, the third generation of the family of distillers, the Nonino liqueur art began in 1933. The Prunella Mandorlata belongs to him: Antonio Nonino combines plum juice (the Slivovitz) with the plum distillate of Friuli creating a liqueur that wants to be a "Amaretto friulano".
Raw material: plum juice, alcohol, plum brandy, sugar and natural flavourings.
Distillation: artisanal discontinuous with the cutting of the heads and tails, in particular exclusive copper steam stills. The distillation takes place very slowly to allow the volatile components, responsible for the perfumes, a correct evaporation and consequent condensation while keeping the precious organoleptic characteristics intact.
Alcohol content: 33% vol.
Color: amber.
Nose: extraordinary hint of almond ennobled by the presence of plum brandy.
Palate: soft and delicate.
How to serve: serve at room temperature or with ice and a slice of plum.
Pairings: goes well with small pastries, chocolate and dried fruit. To be tried alone or in cocktails such as the Far East Nonino by mixologist Alessandro Geatti who, with its alchemy of sweet and crunchy aromas, tastes and textures, makes you experience an exciting journey in the Far East inside a glass.
