It is from quality and organic Sicilian ingredients that Ciokarrua produces its Carrubato di Sicilia, a carob cream spread with no added sugar, naturally sweet and rich in fiber.
The main ingredient of this delicious and genuine spreadable cream is the Sicilian Carrubato bar which, when melted, is expertly processed with Nebrodi hazelnuts and extra virgin olive oil. It is a soft cream without cocoa or chocolate, therefore excellent for children as it is caffeine-free, and is an excellent alternative for those allergic to cocoa powder and gluten. Already in ancient times in Sicily, carob was in fact considered the "chocolate of the poor" precisely because it has hints similar to cocoa with notes of honey and caramel.
Ingredients: Nebrodi hazelnuts*, carob pulp flour* 23.5%, Sicilian carob pulp* 15% (carob pulp flour* 55%, cocoa butter*), extra virgin olive oil*. (* organic ingredient). It may contain traces of nuts (pistachio, walnuts, almonds). It does not contain gluten, lactose and milk proteins.
