Ala Duca di Salaparuta
An elegant dessert wine, Ala was created to satisfy Duca Enrico’s desire to present his wife Sonia with the ideal accompaniment to her passion: chocolate. Garnet red liqueur wine with amber highlights, it has an intense, ethereal bouquet with distinct notes of marasca cherries and hints of almond.






TYPE: Red aromatic wine.
1st YEAR OF PRODUCTION : Around the 1920s.
PRODUCTION AREA: Sicily.
PREPARATION: Selected typical Sicilian red wines, aged for many years in oak casks and then flavoured with a fine infusion of morello cherry leaves.
TASTING:
Colour: granet red with amber highlights.
Aroma: intense, airy with clear scents of morello cherries and almonds. Flavour - sweet, warm, velvety, very aromatic, with a sourish pleasant finish.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 17.5 v %.
SUGARS: 11%.
MEAN ANNUAL PRODUCTION: 35,000 500-ml. bottles.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 12° - 15° C.
RECOMMENDED GLASS: Small, transparent balloon glass.
RECOMMENDED WITH: Typical dessert wine to be enjoyed with chocolate and almond-flavoured pastries.
STORING: Cool (15° C.) room, not too moist
