Description: NUN is richness, intensity, and energy; it is the emotion that springs from ‘experiencing’ Pantelleria in a wine, discovering the island’s fragrances and aromas in unique and exceptional harmony.
Ageing potential: 3-4 years
Serving temperature: 12-14 C° with aged cheeses, on sweets and biscuits; 16-18C° as meditation, or sipping, wine
Production area: Sicily - Island of Pantelleria
Training method: Pantelleria ground-trained gobelet
Pruning method: Short with 8-10 spurs
Vineyard density: 2,500 vines per hectare
Soils: Volcanic sand, loose, with some pomice
Yield per hectare: 50 q
Vinification: Grapes are picked into shallow boxes. Some ot them are dried on cane mats. Long maceration in the must and then a slow pressing and fermentation.
Ageing: In oak barrels, 80% for 3 years and 20% for 2 years
Alcoholic content: 14% Vol.
Visual: Amber, with copperish highlights
Nose: Generous, with nuances of ripe fruit and notes of sage and mint.
Palate: Long-lasting, full and rich.
