Wine from Contrada Santa Margherita Grillo - Arianna Occhipinti

The white wine SM Contrada Santa Margherita by Arianna Occhipinti is a particularly sapid, elegant 100% Grillo with great personality and aromatic intensity. Excellent balance between the alcoholic and acidic sensations. To give it these unique characteristics is the terroir on which the vineyard stands, partly rich in chalk and fossils, partly calcareous.

Contrada Santa Margherita was born from Arianna's passion and desire to give life to a white wine capable of enclosing the limestone and the landscape of the Iblei Mountains in a single sip. The vineyard, carefully chosen by Arianna at the foot of Chiaramonte Gulfi, is divided into 4 parcels. The Costa Sud and Costa Nord parcels with soils rich in chalk and fossils yield salinity and complexity. The Terrazza and Trefile parcels with soils rich in calcareous pebbles yield pulp and acidity. The result is an extraordinary Sicilian white produced in a natural way.
