Refined Nerello Mascalese vinified in concrete and aged in large wooden barrels, Pietrarizzo is a red wine with a well-defined personality. Cru prized for the superior quality of the noble grapes and for an exceptional terroir, Etna Rosso Pietrarizzo is a mineral, elegant and delicate wine, with the aromas of small berries. Its fine tannins give it freshness and make it a pleasantly drinkable wine despite its important structure.

Harvest: manual, in small boxes, during the second and third ten days of October
Vinification: as soon as they are harvested, the grapes arrive in the cellar where they are subjected to careful manual selection on belts. This is followed by destemming and partial pressing
Fermentation: in truncated cone-shaped wooden vats for approximately 10-12 days at a temperature of 22-25°C. Every day the macerating grapes are subjected to frequent manual punching with the aid of a pneumatic punch. Once fermentation is complete, the grapes remain to macerate for a few more days before being drawn off and pressed with a traditional vertical press
Aging: over a year in 25 hl wooden barrels
