Etna Rosso DOC 2021 Tornatore Wines
Etna Rosso Tornatore is a blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio. Nerello Mascalese gives this juicy red wine elegance and refinement, while Nerello Cappuccio gives it body and structure. Produced in Castiglione di Sicilia, on the unique lava soil of Etna, Etna Rosso by Tornatore is a mineral, savory wine with a fruity and spicy bouquet that is impossible to give up. An excellent versatile wine to drink every day, capable of evolving over time.

Harvest: manual, in small boxes, during the second and third ten days of October
Vinification: the grapes harvested manually in small boxes quickly arrive in the cellar where they are subjected to manual selection on a belt. After destemming and light pressing, the grapes are sent to concrete tanks
Fermentation: in concrete tanks for approximately 10-12 days at a temperature of 22-25°C. Once fermentation is complete, the grapes remain to macerate for a few more days and are then drawn off and pressed with a traditional vertical press
Ageing: at least 6 months in large wooden barrels
Bottle refinement: 3 months
Alcohol content: 14% vol
Colour: pale ruby red with faint violet reflections
Nose: fruity bouquet with aromas of small red fruits, morello cherries and black cherries
Palate: savory, surprisingly full with balanced tannicity. The finish is long and persistent
Pairings: perfect red wine with platters of cured meats and cheeses, first and second courses of meat, roasts, grilled meats and white meats
Serving temperature: 18-20°C
Longevity: 4-5 years
