Low vineyard performance, supreme, unreserved pleasure It is a wine obtained from grapes born on the volcanic and sandy Etna slopes. These are very hard areas, with a low vineyard performance, but which create a high concentration of taste and personality of the grapes. The bunches are hand-picked on a late ripening moment, to express the maximum of the structure and the alcoholic content. It is vinifi ed with soft winepressing and peel soaking, to be refi ned in small durmast barrels and in bottles for one year, at least. Its smell is varied and complex, from red fruits to toasted almonds to cocoa hints; the mouthfeel is warm, intense and with a remarkable persistence.
