Nocera is one of the most interesting red grape varieties in Sicily thanks to its characteristics of harmony, balance and softness. An ancient and noble grape variety to be discovered, grown in an extraordinary vineyard surrounded by the sea.

Harvest period: 4-5 September

Vinification: the grapes are harvested by hand in 14 kg crates and, as soon as they arrive in the cellar, they are passed to the sorting table for a selection, then crushed and destemmed. They ferment in steel tanks and remain on the skins for 10 days at 25°C with repeated pumping over until the end of the period. After being drawn off in a soft press, the wine thus obtained carries out the malolactic fermentation in steel

Color: deep and intense ruby ​​reflections

Nose: original and different from the common: white pepper, geranium and summer fruit, plums and ripe Noto figs

Palate: persuasive and soft, the stylistic signature of this Sicilian variety so ancient and waiting to be discovered. The vines are still young and so is the wine frame, which however remains absolutely original

Pairing: perfect in combinations with grilled meats

Aging capacity: to drink immediately or to age up to 5/7 years
