It comes from Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes, grown on the volcanic Etna slopes. Here, the sandy soil of lava origin and the strong temperature range between day and night-time make a highly strong personality wine, improving after 12 months’ barrique.
The result is an intense wine, characterised by red ruby colour with garnet shades, an intensely wine scent and a pleasantly full-bodied wine, which perfectly marries red meat and game.
