Syrah by Baglio di Pianetto is a Sicilian red wine made from pure organic grapes. It is part of the Baglio di Pianetto line of monovarietal wines called In Purezza. Also making use of the precious collaboration of Graziana Grassini, an internationally renowned oenologist, this line of native wines tells the story of the individual vines in relation to a high altitude and an exceptional mountain territory with the aim of reinterpreting and enhancing Sicilian viticulture. With this aromatic Syrah, full-bodied and satisfyingly drinkable, Baglio di Pianetto offers wine lovers an excellent high-altitude wine, an authentic expression of Baglio di Pianetto's winemaking philosophy.

Fermentation: the must ferments in steel tanks, macerating on the skins with punching down and pumping over
Aging: 14 months in steel
Alcohol content: 13.5% vol
Color: lively ruby red with violet reflections
Nose: aromatic and complex bouquet, rich in aromas. The fruity aromas of blueberries and plums are combined with floral aromas of violet and cyclamen, and spicy hints of pink pepper, bitter cocoa and cloves as well as sweet notes of almond paste and vanilla tobacco
Palate: balanced and surprisingly fresh. The well-integrated and respectful tannins give the wine a composed texture that does not overwhelm the palate
Pairings: excellent with first and second courses of meat and semi-mature cheeses
Serving temperature: 14-16°C
