Excellent Sicilian red wine from 100% Frappato grapes. The right wine to accompany a good risotto with porcini mushrooms or succulent grilled meat.

Altitude: 280 a.s.l.
Soil: medium consistency. It comes from sub Apennine sands of calcareous nature
Agriculture: organic, no chemical intervention
Training system: guyot and sapling
Average age of plants: 40 years
Plant density: 6,000 plants per hectare
Harvest period: first ten days of October
Fermentation: with indigenous yeasts, 30 days maceration on the skins
Aging: 14 months in 25 hl Slavonian oak barrels, 1 month in bottle, no filtration
Color: Ruby red
Nose: fruity and floral scents with notes of iris, red rose, currant, plum, pink pepper, myrtle and sweet tobacco
Palate: intense and engaging, excellent acidity and elegant persistence
Pairings: first and second courses of meat, risotto with porcini mushrooms, grilled meat

Très équilibré et élégant. Ce vin est fruité très frais avec une bonne longueur en bouche. Rapport qualité prix excellent. Il s'agit d'un vin très agréable.
