This popular Italian sparkling wine is dry and crisp on the palate and a super wine for aperitif or for that special celebration. The base wines of a Classic Method sparkling wine are made from all or some of the following grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier which last grape variety in Italy is generally replaced by different grapes, such as Pinot Blanc (as far as Italian Classic Method spumante is concerned).
The productions of this wine was inspired by the pinot noir grape in the production of champagne. For this wine, the nerello mascalese grape is carefully selected.
This dry spumante with rich and fine pérlage and intense and delicate perfume, springs up from a particular “cru” of Chardonnay produced in the vineyard. One perceives well blended, blod yeast tones, and notes of crust of bread and acacia honey in an elegant harmony. Fresh and fragrant-tasting, it has an equilibrated and aristocratic taste.
The typical notes of White Moscato seem to express their best in this Spumante. Pleasant floreal notes remind one of white roses, from which the choise of name, blend happily with fruity hints which give this spumante completely unique characteristics.
A classic method with surprising elegance, Donnafugata's Brut is characterized by a fine and intense bouquet with fragrances of bread crust and dried fruit. In the mouth it is harmonious, with a fine and persistent perlage.
Tener Brut comes from a blend composed of Sauvignon Blanc (over 50%) and Chardonnay grapes. With a round taste and character, it is a sparkling wine with intense and fruity aromas and flavors thanks to the Sauvignon Blanc grapes rarely destined for sparkling wines.
The "Terza-via" del Grillo represents the tradition of an evolving territory. De Bartoli's classic method sparkling wine combines French tradition with the Sicilian personality of Grillo grapes, a versatile and strong variety.
Blend of Chardonnay and Inzolia grapes, Vivo from the Milazzo winery is a Classic Method Spumante fermented in the bottle, without disgorging, selected by chef Pino Cuttaia.
