Fossa di Lupo is a historic district whose surface lands are sandy with a substantial presence of stone limestone and after the first 40 cm of sand have a rather hard layer of rocky limestone.
The sapling vineyard has a sixth plant typical of the Vittoria area. The district faces the Iblei Mountains to the north east; from here usually derive fruity wines but also austere and with good acidity.
