From the most representative native red grape variety of Etna, Fazio winery produces its interpretation of Nerello Mascalese in Erice. Structured and aromatic, Castelmedio is one of the Classic wines of the Fazio winery. A young red wine, versatile at the table and of quality, bottled cold.

Vinification: red vinification. Pressing of the skins and maceration at a controlled temperature

Malolactic fermentation: in steel

Aging: in bottle for 4 months

Alcohol content: 13% vol

Color: pale ruby red, clear and brilliant

Nose: fruity bouquet with exceptional notes of prickly pear and red fruits that mix with hints of moist tobacco and cocoa

Palate: warm and enveloping with soft and smooth tannins. The finish is long and persistent

Pairings: perfect with platters of cured meats and semi-mature cheeses, grilled red meats, baked stuffed duck. Also worth trying with grilled red tuna
