Anima Solis Rosso - Fazio winery

From slightly dried grapes to enhance the aromas of red fruits, spices and Mediterranean scrub, Fazio wines produces Anima Solis red wine. A great contemporary and engaging blend of Erice wine production aged in barrique for 12 months. A deep red wine, with structure and roundness, with sumptuous and extraordinarily velvety tannins, unusually fresh.

Grape Variety: 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 30% Nero d'Avola

Production Area: Erice DOC territory (TP)

Altitude: 280-350 m above sea level

Exposure: south, south-west

Soil: calcareous - clayey

Training system: spurred cordon

Density of vines per ha: 4,000-4,500

Grape yield per ha: 50-60 q/ha

Harvest: manual, between the third ten days of August and the first ten days of September

Vinification: the grapes, harvested at the right ripeness, dry in the fruit cellar for approximately 25/30 days. They are then destemmed and vinified in red with traditional punching down to obtain maximum extraction from the skins

Aging: in second and third passage French barriques for approximately 12 months

Bottle refinement: 5 months

Alcohol content: 14% vol

Color: garnet red, intense and impenetrable

Nose: elegant bouquet with fruity notes of berries and cherries and hints of spices, vanilla and cocoa

Palate: harmonious, enveloping and savory. The tannin is sumptuous and incredibly velvety. The finish is almost interminable, rich in strong spicy and fruit aromas

Pairings: perfect with grilled red meats, guinea fowl and mature cheeses

Glass: Bordeaux red
