Real finely ground whole sea salt - La Riserva del Mare
Real whole sea salt is a precious salt produced in an artisanal way in the salt pans of Trapani. Cultivated according to the centuries-old tradition of Trapani, whole sea salt is formed by the natural evaporation of water from salting tanks and is collected by hand by expert salt workers. It is processed in an artisanal way, it is not bleached or artificially refined, and therefore does not undergo any chemical treatment. After being dried in the air, the salt is ground in stainless steel presses, preserving all the trace elements essential for our body, including potassium, iodine and in particular magnesium to which it owes its considerable humidity. Finally it is packaged without the addition of anti-caking additives. The long and careful production process makes it a natural salt of excellent quality, so much so that it has obtained recognition as a Slow Food presidium.
Available in fine grinds, fine whole sea salt has a grain size of 2 mm, is very soluble and has a high salting power which allows you to reduce its consumption. Its unique and strong taste makes it a gourmet salt. Fine sea salt is excellent for making bread and pizza, for salting pasta water and for flavoring meats and salads.
