Let yourself be inebriated by Passorosso 2019 by Passopisciaro, a Sicilian wine from Etna fruit of the assembly of ancient Nerello Mascalese grapes, coming from vineyards in the districts (Malpasso, Chiappemacine, Moganazzi, Feudodimezzo, Santo Spirito, Sciaranuova and Guardiola) which are located in different altitudes along the northern slope of Etna. A complete wine in body and aroma, Passorosso 2019 is a vintage of excellent quality because, despite the spring cold delaying the ripening of the grapes, which was then recovered with the heat of the summer months, the rains were not frequent. It is a wine with the right balance and with a sinuously fresh and vertical fruit, thanks also to a perfect phasing between technological and phenolic maturity.

Grapes: Nerello Mascalese 100%

Production area: Mount Etna, north side, Sicily

Soils: at higher altitude gravelly with coarser grain; at lower altitudes, fine and deeper composed of more ancient lava flows, now oxidized and reduced to lava dust

Vineyard age: Between 80 and 110 years

Plant density: 8000 plants per hectare

Yield per hectare: 70 quintals of grapes

Harvest period: From 17 to 22 October

Type of collection: Manual selection

Fertilization: None

Treatments: Clays, propolis, vitamin C, copper and sulfur

Vinification: Steel tanks for about 15 days

Aging: 18 months in concrete tanks and large wooden barrels
