Wines Sicilian

Many grapes are made into raisins, used in local cooking, and Sicilian grapes also play a large role in creating dessert wines, which require a higher concentration of grapes and are consumed in smaller quantities. In fact, in the world of international wine, Sicily is renowned for the many outstanding dessert wines, such as the world-famous Marsala, Moscato di Pantelleria & Malvasia delle Lipari. 

The traditional varieties cultivated on the island include: red grape varieties such as Nero d'Avola (today experiencing a significant renaissance in the market), Nerello Cappuccio and Mascalese, Carricante, Nocera, Perricone and Frappato; white grape varieties such as Catarratto, Grecanico, Grillo, Inzolia, Malvasia delle Lipari and Zibibbo or Moscato.
In addition to the traditional varieties listed above, today there are numerous non-traditional varieties grown on the island which include: red varieties such as Cabernet-Sauvignon, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc and Merlot; white varieties such as Chardonnay, Viognier, Muller Thurgau and Sauvignon blanc.

Pacenzia Zibibbo Tenute Orestiadi
Pacenzia is a mix of elegance, uniqueness, diversity and typicality. Patience (pacènzia in fact) gives its name to this wine, a quality that distinguishes being Sicilian in knowing how to wait for the sun and the passage of time to shape the best grapes of a late harvest.
It belongs to the family of the ''Terra Nera'', on the hills of the Trapani hinterland. Soil type rich in silty-clayey substances, compact and resistant to drought in the area. Perfect for growing both red and white grapes.
This wine is perfect to combine both with medium-aged cheeses and with dry pastries and fruit-based desserts.

Zibibbo DOC Bahar Tenute Orestiadi

Zibibbo Bahar is one of the six autochthonous mono-varietals that best represent the peculiarities and nuances of the Valle del Belìce area.
It is a wine with an intense yellow color, with fruity and floral aromas reminiscent of citrus fruits, peaches and yellow melons, the result is a great taste-olfactory balance.
It belongs to the medium-compact ''Terra Bianca'' category. The dry microclimate with good water retention makes this land the ideal habitat for the cultivation of native white varietals.
Syrah Paxmentis IGP Tenute Orestiadi
Syrah Paxmentis comes to life from the vineyards of the hilly countryside of Gibellina, in the heart of Western Sicily.
She belongs to the '' Terra nera '' family, on the hills of the Trapani hinterland. Soil type rich in silt-clayey substances, compact and resistant to drought in the area. Perfect for growing both red and white grapes.
Wine produced from lightly dried grapes. The nose offers notes of sweet red fruits, plums, cherries in alcohol and vanilla. On the palate it is austere but offers a sumptuous finish with an intriguing fragrance.
