White Wines

It takes its name from the woods of the town of Salemi. Angimbé, a wine marked by its scent ranging from the perfume of fresh flowers to that of ripe fruit, is born from the union of the Sicilian personality of Insolia grapes and the elegance of Chardonnay grapes.

Chiaramonte Ansonica was created as an act of reverent homage towards this important and widely-planted Sicilian variety. Freshness and minerality for one of the best interpretations of pure Inzolia wine.

Fiano by Mandrarossa - Organic wineMandrarossa Fiano is a Sicilian white wine, made from 100% Fiano grapes from the vineyards located in Menfi. Calcareous soils with the typical white stones, locally called “ciaca bianca”, afford the ideal conditions for fiano. The result is a wine that expresses an extraordinary balance of scents and minerality.

The Colomba Platino has a beautiful straw yellow color. It presents itself with a delicate fruity bouquet, is lively, rich and sustainable.

Fresh and elegant, Calanìca Chardonnay by Duca di Salaparuta is a captivating and balanced Sicilian white wine. Excellent for an aperitif to be enjoyed with friends.

The sun and the favourable climate means these grapes produce extraordinary wines with extraordinary flavours and colours, ensuring they bear DOC status. 

Catarratto and chardonnay grapes give this wine fresh Mediterranean scents and a savoury, elegant flavour with a typical hint of bitter almonds. Piano Maltese is the heart of the Tenuta Rapitalà, gentle hills at between 300 and 600 metres altitude, which, because of their history, terrain and climate endow wines with a special character. 

Cold pressing with skins and first fermentation at a temperature of 8°C for around 12 hours, soft second pressing. Cold decanting and fermentation at a temperature of 18-20°C, period on the lees in stainless steel containers at least 4 months, and successive fining in the bottle.

COLOUR: Light straw yellow with shades of green. 
BOUQUET: Pleasing, diverse and fresh; heavy scent of white flowers. TASTE: Clean, delicate, characteristic. A touch of fragrant acidity gives it a fresh and keen taste. 

Etna Bianco by Tenuta delle Terre Nere is a Sicilian white wine born from the assembly of 5 Sicilian native vines: Carricante in prevalence, Catarratto, Inzolia, Grecanico and Minnella. All from old vines. A perfect, delicious and versatile wine.

Organoleptic characteristics: - Color: pale yellowish with greenish tints. - Scent: intense, rich and fruity, of orange and lemon flower, and ripe apple. - Taste: dry, with pleasant acidity, nice aromatic persistence and after taste of anise and almond. 

Etna Bianco di Murgo is a Sicilian white wine made from Carricante and Catarratto grapes. Fruity and floral with notes of broom and yellow apple.
Elegant wine with an aromatic complexity, a balance and a mineral sensation that comes from the volcanic soil.

Straw-yellow color with greenish reflections; complex, characterful, fruity bouquet that is highly expressive of the source grapes and harvest time; fresh balanced and persistent on the palate.

Carricante grapes This wine is produced in our Feudo di Mezzo winery, lying in the centre of Etna’s wine growing area, from Carricante grapes partially fermented in barriques. This is the result of searching for an expression of this noble grape cultivated in the unique and splendid terroir of Etna.

Cavanera Ripa di Scorciavacca is a Bianco Etna DOC cru that encapsulates in its intense and refined bouquet the aromas and complexity of a unique terroir in the field of Sicilian viticulture—the Etna Volcano. Firriato white, a union of Carricante and Catarratto. The vines’ strength give the wine a decisive character, with a balanced acidity and softness and an extraordinary potential longevity.

The Petralava Bianco is an Etna DOC that comes from the Carricante and Catarratto vines, on the slopes of Etna.

White wine from Carricante and Catarratto on volcanic soil, Etna Bianco is a wine with a scent of white fruit and jasmine flowers with light citrus notes. On the palate it is fresh, pleasant and harmonious.
It falls into the category of ''TerraLavica'', the soil of Etna has made this territory unique for its mineral characteristics, where various natives of the volcano are cultivated.
Product that very much reflects audacity and elegance thanks to its characteristics, with a slightly almondy finish, which gives balance and persistence.

Produced from a grape that loves altitude and lava lands, Riesling Eruzione 1614 is a cru of Etna grown in the Sciaranuova vineyards, at whose border the legendary eruption of 1614, which lasted 10 years, stopped.

Dry Zibibbo Jasmin - Firriato
Obtained from Zibibbo grapes, Jasmin by Firriato is an elegant white wine rich in taste thanks to the aromatic characteristic of this native vine, vinified dry. Well represents the sunshine, the conviviality of Sicily and the Mediterranean charm. Great to drink in the company of friends.

Blend of Carricante and Catarratto grapes, Trainara by Alessandro Di Camporeale is a fragrant, fresh and mineral Etna wine that reveals citrus notes of pink grapefruit in the finish.

Làvico Etna Bianco DOC - Duca di Salaparuta
Lavico Bianco by Duca di Salaparuta is a savory but at the same time fresh and balanced Etna wine. Obtained from Carricante grapes, an indigenous vine of the Etna area, this white wine surprises for its minerality and structure given to it by the extraordinary volcanic terroir. Larcéra Mandrarossa - Organic Vermentino from Sicily
Sicilian wine from organic grapes, Larcera is the Vermentino by Mandrarossa, a fresh, mineral, savory and versatile white wine. The quality and excellent yield of the vine are due to the exposure of the vineyards to the south, the climate of the area and the proximity of the sea.

Etna Bianco DOC Contrada Calderara - Cottanera
Obtained from 100% Carricante grapes, Contrada Calderara is the Etna Bianco from the Cottanera winery. Produced in Castiglione di Sicilia in the vineyards of Contrada Calderara, it is a complex white wine, with a marked minerality and destined for longevity.

The white wine SM Contrada Santa Margherita by Arianna Occhipinti is a particularly sapid, elegant 100% Grillo with great personality and aromatic intensity. Excellent balance between the alcoholic and acidic sensations. To give it these unique characteristics is the terroir on which the vineyard stands, partly rich in chalk and fossils, partly calcareous.

The original Sicilian interpretation of Vermentino
Obtained from 100% Vermentino grapes grown on the Suor Marchesa estate, Sentiero del Vento represents the latest example of the vocation of the Duca di Salaparuta winery to experiment and evolve. With Sentiero del Vento Duca di Salaparuta gives us a fresh and mineral wine, with the scents of Mediterranean scrub, broad and velvety on the palate.
