Douar Nero d'Avola DOC – La Selezione Line
Nero d'Avola Douar by Tenute Orestiadi is an indigenous mono-varietal with unrepeatable characteristics thanks to the uniqueness of the soil and particularly suitable vineyards surrounding the Belìce Valley. It is part of the Selezione line, a line of Mediterranean wines that best represents the particularities of the Gibellina area, in the Trapani hinterland. A Nero d'Avola of absolute finesse with a full sip, good intensity and length, and a soft and enveloping body.

Soil: black earth, rich in silty-clayey substances, compact and resistant to drought

Vinification: destemming and soft pressing of the grapes
Fermentation: at controlled temperature with pumping over and delastage technique
Malolactic fermentation: carried out in French oak barriques
Aging: 4 months in steel and 8-10 months in French oak barriques
Bottle refinement: at least 6 months in the bottle lying down
Alcohol content: 14% vol
Color: intense ruby red with violet reflections
Nose: broad and elegant bouquet with mineral and berry notes, integrated with delicate hints of morello cherry
Palate: delicate, with soft and well-balanced tannins
Aftertaste: fruity, harmonious and persistent
Pairings: versatile wine, perfect with second courses based on red meat and game but also with stewed fish and mature cheeses such as Ragusano
