Perricone DOC Adeni Tenute Orestiadi

Perricone Adeni Tenute Orestiadi is one of the six native mono-varietals grown in the Belìce Valley. It is an ample and elegant wine, enriched by mineral notes, berries and delicate hints of cherry.

It belongs to the ''Terra Rossa'' family, in South Western Sicily. Ideal habitat for growing red grape varieties.

Made after various analyzes conducted in the Belìce Valley, this Sicilian red wine is considered at the top of the qualitative pyramid of Tenute Orestiadi, with sumptuous and persistent hints of taste.

How is this wine made and what are its characteristics?

The grapes, harvested by hand at the end of August, are transported to the cellar and de-stemmed to better conserve the integrity of the skin. After the fermentation process with controlled temperature, the product is aged for 8 months in steel with a subsequent period of 10 months in the bottle lying down.

Color: Intense purple

Nose: Aromatic bouquet of red berries mixed with hints of black pepper and Mediterranean spices

Palate: Soft, elegant and fruity with dense sensations of wild berries, sumptuous, persistent finish

Pairings: Fresh cheeses, macaroni with pork ragout, lamb chops, Trapani-style rolls

Vinification: Refines for about 8 months in steel and completes the refinement for at least 10 months in the bottle lying down

Goblet: Bordeaux red

Serving temperature: 16/18°

Wonderful wine!

This is one of the best reds I have tasted in a while... Fruity at first (cherries, berries, some tannins and a little peppery) but finishing rich and sweet (dates, caramel, licorice). Really lovely. Will be ordering some more when we run out!
