White Wines

Containers called Pithoi were used for fermentation, which gave the wines their particular smell and taste of quality which still endures today.

The grapes are equal proportions of Catarratto, Inzolia and Grillo, fermented at different times, with the resulting wines blended in November.

The charming grotto of Scurati in the medieval village of Custonaci is the namesake for the young wine made from the best selection of Grillo grapes from the vineyard on the highest hill of the estate. 

This is a fresh wine, which should be consumed within two years. The name refers to my family's Spanish origins and we produce 75,000 bottles of it.
The grapes are equal quantities of Catarratto and Inzolia, fermented separately. The wines are blended in November.

Inzolia by Principe di Corleone is a Sicilian white wine with a deep straw yellow color. Intense and harmonious bouquet with hints of fruit and white flowers. Fresh, lively, harmonious and persistent flavour.

The Pinot Bianco of Principe di Corleone is a Sicilian white wine obtained from the homonymous vine. It is a wine for the whole meal, it goes pleasantly with appetizers, aperitifs, dishes based on fish and shellfish, soups and soft cheeses. Drunk chilled, it is an excellent aperitif.

Catarratto Chardonnay by Principe di Corleone is a Sicilian white wine, with a straw yellow color with greenish reflections and hints of Sicilian white flowers. Intense, fruity with remarkable character. Fresh and persistent on the palate.

Chardonnay IGT originally from the Bourgogne and Champagne regions. This splendid variety has been exported all over the world, so to affirm its importance as the best known white in the world. Here in Sicily it has found an optimum environment to reach a good level of ripeness But above all, thanks to our wine-making techniques, it has expressed unique and territorial characteristics.

Grillo von Principe di Corleone is a Sicilian white wine with a golden yellow color from the Grillo grape variety. The taste is full and complex. The scent highlights notes of almond and floral scents.

Obtained from organic Catarratto Lucido grapes grown on the extraordinary Garcitella terroir, Terre della Baronia by Milazzo is a Sicilian white wine that offers Mediterranean aromas and ripe tropical fruit, with good verticality and acidity. The finish is elegant and persistent.

The Maria Costanza Bianco by Milazzo is a Sicilian white wine from Inzolia grapes and Chardonnay biotypes. It is a very intense and characteristic organic wine of a green Inzolia clone, which stands out original and delicate essences. Etna Bianco by Tenuta delle Terre Nere is a Sicilian white wine born from the assembly of 5 Sicilian native vines: Carricante in prevalence, Catarratto, Inzolia, Grecanico and Minnella. All from old vines. A perfect, delicious and versatile wine.

Etna Bianco di Firriato is a Sicilian wine of great inspiration, with a full taste and rich in texture with a persistent flavor. With a long expression, freshness and fragrance, it is a vivid example of Etna white wines for the olfactory and gustatory suggestions that it brings as a dowry.

Its name seems to attributed by the vine-grovers of Viagrande because of its characteristics of allowing a good, constant production over the years. The bunches, at ripeness, are of average length usually, and scattered; the grape is of medium-sized with very pruinose skin and a greenyellowish color. The pulp is juicy and the taste is simple and sweet. 

Organoleptic characteristics: - Color: pale yellowish with greenish tints. - Scent: intense, rich and fruity, of orange and lemon flower, and ripe apple. - Taste: dry, with pleasant acidity, nice aromatic persistence and after taste of anise and almond. 

Dry wine, lingering long in the mouth, very elegant, fine, with a silky consistency. It has good acidity, which is never aggressive and mixes in well, also a notably aromatic and lasting quality. 

Giada by Principe di Corleone is a Sicilian white wine made from Trebbiano grapes and other typical grapes of the area. It is a fruity wine with aromatic notes, straw yellow in color with greenish reflections. The palate is delicate, subtle, balanced and pleasantly aromatic.

Etna Bianco di Murgo is a Sicilian white wine made from Carricante and Catarratto grapes. Fruity and floral with notes of broom and yellow apple.

The first dry white wine from Zibibbo grapes on Pantelleria

Cantine Fina's Mamarì is not the classic Sauvignon Blanc but it is a Sicilian Sauvignon Blanc. Widespread in Sicily since the mid-nineties, the vine has found an ideal habitat that has allowed it to develop unique and unmistakable typical Sicilian olfactory and gustatory characteristics. It is a fresh wine vinified in steel with fruity and floral notes. Great to accompany sushi and sashimi!

Carricante grapes This wine is produced in our Feudo di Mezzo winery, lying in the centre of Etna’s wine growing area, from Carricante grapes partially fermented in barriques. This is the result of searching for an expression of this noble grape cultivated in the unique and splendid terroir of Etna.

The Chardonnay by the Principe di Corleone winery is made from grapes from low-yield vineyards. The soft pressing of the grapes and the fermentation of the must at low temperatures give rise to a wine full of personality, structure and refinement.

Cavanera Ripa di Scorciavacca is a Bianco Etna DOC cru that encapsulates in its intense and refined bouquet the aromas and complexity of a unique terroir in the field of Sicilian viticulture—the Etna Volcano. Firriato white, a union of Carricante and Catarratto. The vines’ strength give the wine a decisive character, with a balanced acidity and softness and an extraordinary potential longevity.

The Petralava Bianco is an Etna DOC that comes from the Carricante and Catarratto vines, on the slopes of Etna.

Fresh and young vintage wine
Inzolia Molino a Vento is a well structured wine with a fresh and savory taste, with a long and persistent finish. It presents intense aromas ranging from fruity aromas of green apple to acacia floral.

Zibibbo Bahar is one of the six autochthonous mono-varietals that best represent the peculiarities and nuances of the Valle del Belìce area.
It is a wine with an intense yellow color, with fruity and floral aromas reminiscent of citrus fruits, peaches and yellow melons, the result is a great taste-olfactory balance.
It belongs to the medium-compact ''Terra Bianca'' category. The dry microclimate with good water retention makes this land the ideal habitat for the cultivation of native white varietals.

White wine from Carricante and Catarratto on volcanic soil, Etna Bianco is a wine with a scent of white fruit and jasmine flowers with light citrus notes. On the palate it is fresh, pleasant and harmonious.
It falls into the category of ''TerraLavica'', the soil of Etna has made this territory unique for its mineral characteristics, where various natives of the volcano are cultivated.
Product that very much reflects audacity and elegance thanks to its characteristics, with a slightly almondy finish, which gives balance and persistence.

Produced from high quality Carricante grapes, Tenuta delle Terre Nere's Etna Bianco “Vigne Niche” Calderara Sottana is a cru from old and young vines. It is a wine of great complexity and longevity.

Among the finest crus of the Pietrarizzo district in Castiglione di Sicilia we find Etna Bianco Pietrarizzo di Tornatore, a savory and fresh wine, produced from 100% Carricante grapes.

The Etna Bianco Sentiero delle gerle di Mandrarossa is a wine from Carricante grapes, an indigenous Sicilian vine. It is a mineral white that smells of orange blossom and tells the essence of its territory of origin, the south-east side of Etna.

Blend of Carricante and Catarratto grapes, Trainara by Alessandro Di Camporeale is a fragrant, fresh and mineral Etna wine that reveals citrus notes of pink grapefruit in the finish.

Produced with the Charmat method, MaKiSè by Fina wineries is a young sparkling wine from 100% Grillo grapes. Fermentation in autoclave at low temperature gives it freshness and vivacity. Fruity notes and pleasant sapidity for a good white wine, evocative of the scents and the sea of Sicily.

Làvico Etna Bianco DOC - Duca di Salaparuta
