Vera Grappa of Nero d'Avola - Milazzo Winery
From the precious pomace of Nero d'Avola with which the extraordinary reds of the Milazzo Winery are produced, we obtain the Vera Grappa di Nero d'Avola by Milazzo. The distillation is artisanal and discontinuous, in copper stills, with direct steam. The result is a "raw" grappa which, "cut" and cold-filtered to best preserve all the aromas, takes on a clear appearance and offers a balanced and round bouquet.
Grappa Mille e una Notte Donnafugata - Grappa made from fine red grapes
An excellent digestive, Donnafugata's Grappa Mille e una Notte is produced from the distillation of the precious red grapes used for the Mille e una Notte wine. Aged in barriques, it has an extraordinarily pleasant and appealing wide array of aromas, revealing notes of dried, toasted, cooked fruit as well as fruit in syrup and even ripe morello cherries, which alternate with notes of honey and vanilla. Soft on the palate, it is a Sicilian grappa with an aristocratic and persuasive personality.
Colour - bright golden colour with topaz highlights. Aroma - intense and balanced, with clear scents of apricot, elder blossoms and toasted hazelnuts. Flavour - full, smooth and velvety with scents of acacia honey, citron peel, elder, sage and a pleasant finish of fruit in syrup and vanilla.
With a golden color and amber shades, this wine unravels a sophisticated array of flowers smell, dried figs, raisins and walnuts ins to complete its bouquet.
Oxydia is produced from a selection of the best Zibibbo grapes ripened on the island in the warm African wind Intense and aromatic it has a strong, complex bouquet, with distinct notes of apricot. Ideal with desserts, fresh and dried fruit. Wonderful with spicy cheeses.
Ambar is produced from a selection of the best Moscato grapes ripened under the warm island sun. This golden nectar has slight amber highlights, an intense bouquet and a full, soft flavour with hints of acacia honey and pleasant underlying notes of dried figs and raisins.
For this wine, we rely on the oldest vines in the Podere Massoni vineyard, planted on shaley-clay soils, on a low yield of 70 quintals per hectare, and a fairly late harvest date (mid October).
Primitivo Gioia del Colle DOC Muro Sant'Angelo - Tenute Chiaromonte
Muro Sant'Angelo by Tenute Chiaromonte is a 100% Primitivo which has obtained the Gioia del Colle DOC recognition for its unique characteristics. Intense red wine, with spicy and fruity aromas of plum and small black fruits. Impact on the palate, volume without sagging, excellent acidity that well balances the typical sweetness of the vine. Pleasant finish, poured by notes of chocolate and licorice.
