Marsala wine and not fortified Marsala
Produced for the first time in 1980, Vecchio Samperi is a wine without equal. It is the wine of the pre-British Marsala tradition, the "wine of Marsala" which could not be called Marsala because it is not fortified as required by the Marsala Vergine specification. To make Vecchio Samperi, the De Bartolis use the ancient perpetuum aging method (similar to Solera system) that, through the addition of some new, young wine to wines that are already being aged in barrels, allows to create a harmonious blend of different vintages, with a unique and inimitable taste.

Obtained from the oldest vineyards cultivated between terraces overlooking the sea, Salvatore Murana's Martingana is an award-winning and world-famous Passito di Pantelleria.

Made from native grape Nero d'Avola, this offers intense aromas of blackberry, pepper and menthol with whiffs of toasted oak. The palate delivers a tight core of sour cherry and blackberry layered with spicy pepper, cinnamon and espresso.

One of these extraordinary Sicilian wines is Contrada C, a Nerello Mascalese grown at 550 m asl on the north side of Etna. Contrada C, Chiappemacine, is the lowest of the 5 districts of Passopisciaro. Its sandstone soil, deeply calcareous, makes this red wine full, round and whipping, with a variegated and heady nose, with a surprising taste for its savory-tannic austerity.

Picking at the end of August and the successive drying of the grapes give this sweet wine its characteristic golden colour with amber reflections. In its intense persistent aroma you can recognise hints of apricot honey and dried figs. Best with fruit flans and hard cheeses.

A careful selection of the best Zibibbo grapes in the province of Trapani make up one of the best sweet i.g.t. wines in Sicily. It has a splendid light straw colour and a strong aroma. An ideal dessert wine.

Primitivo Muro Sant'Angelo Contrada Barbatto - Tenute Chiaromonte
Contrada Barbatto Muro Sant'Angelo is a niche edition of the Primitivo DOC Gioia del Colle by Tenute Chiaromonte. It comes from grapes grown in a small vineyard of ancient trees. The color is deep red. The aromas are those of plum jam and bitter chocolate that barely covers the smoky notes. Do not miss the typical scents of the Mediterranean maquis. On the palate it is cherry-like, deep and intense, with very soft tannins.

Sweet Red Wine Donna Carlotta - Chiaromonte Estates
Blend of Primitivo and Aleatico grapes, Donna Carlotta by Tenute Chiaromonte is a sweet red wine with a bright ruby colour. The floral notes of rose and the fruity olfactory textures of black cherry and plum jam blend with a delicate sweetness.

The name Tane indicates the color dark reddish wine but in Sicilian dialect means Gaetana, the name of the administrator of the winery. Gaetana Jacono, representing the sixth generation.

In the Presti e Pegni estate in Monreale, where a small flower typical of the Mediterranean area grows, Nero d'Avola and Syrah quality grapes are cultivated. Their blending gives life to the Benuara, a wine with a strong body, a winy fragrance with the scent of wild fruits and a full-bodied taste.
