Marsala wine and not fortified Marsala
Produced for the first time in 1980, Vecchio Samperi is a wine without equal. It is the wine of the pre-British Marsala tradition, the "wine of Marsala" which could not be called Marsala because it is not fortified as required by the Marsala Vergine specification. To make Vecchio Samperi, the De Bartolis use the ancient perpetuum aging method (similar to Solera system) that, through the addition of some new, young wine to wines that are already being aged in barrels, allows to create a harmonious blend of different vintages, with a unique and inimitable taste.
Made in respect of its "natural" tradition and fortified with a mixture of must and brandy, Marco De Bartoli's Marsala Superiore is characterized by very complex aromas and fragrances and offers sensations and emotions of other times.
Cold vinified Marsala
Obtained only from Grillo grapes, Vigna La Miccia by De Bartoli is an innovative and contemporary semi-dry Marsala Superiore Oro since it is cold vinified. Cold vinification enhances the fruity and more delicate notes of the vine and avoids excessive oxidation during its evolution.

Rosso di Marco is made with 100% Pignatello grapes, also known as Perricone, a black traditional grape of Western Sicily, almost disappeared, taking its name from the so called “pignatiddare“, the terra rossa of the province of Trapani, well suited to this variety, and traditionally used to craft terracotta cooking pots “pignatte”.
Intense and rich, with a prevailing fruity aroma on the nose, this wine is fairly round in the mouth, medium bodied with a good persistence and harmony.
