Burdese by Planeta is a Sicilian red wine with a Bordeaux blend. The name itself in the local Burdisi/Burdese dialect means Bordeaux and refers to the classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Produced in limited quantities, Burdese is an aging wine of great density, structure and balance. Due to its complexity it has few similar in Sicily.

Produced from a grape that loves altitude and lava lands, Riesling Eruzione 1614 is a cru of Etna grown in the Sciaranuova vineyards, at whose border the legendary eruption of 1614, which lasted 10 years, stopped.

Pinot Nero Eruzione 1614 is a cru of Etna produced from vineyards that grow above the lava flow of the famous eruption of 1614, which lasted 10 years.

Grillo The terebinth is a shrub with glossy fronds, always associated with Sicily and the Mediterranean countryside from east to west. The Planeta Terebinto is a single-variety Grillo; aromatic and intense on the nose with notes of pink grapefruit, balanced and complex on the palate.

Eruzione 1614 Carricante by Planeta is a Sicilian white wine from Carricante grapes, with a small addition of Riesling. The cultivation on black soils rich in minerals of the Sciaranuova vineyard, at an altitude of 890 m on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, give this wine minerality, freshness and flavor.

Eruzione 1614 Nerello Mascalese by Planeta is an extraordinary Sicilian red wine made from Nerello Mascalese grapes grown on the slopes of Mount Etna. Thanks to the black soils rich in minerals, this wine takes on structure, character and refinement.

Derived from the name of the wild flower that grows around our cellar, Alastro is a Grecanico blended with a particularly aromatic variety, Sauvignon Blanc. It is a delicately structured wine, with aromas of tropical fruit, fresh citrus and white flowers.

La Segreta takes its name from the wood that surrounds our vineyard at Ulmo. This young fresh wine produced mainly from Grecanico grapes, introduced into Sicily more than 2,000 years ago, gains personality and style with the addition of international variety grapes.All the grapes are carefully cultivated in Planeta owned vineyards.

Nero d'Avola Menfi DOC wine
Plumbago is a single-variety Nero d’Avola, called after the beautifully coloured purple wild flower that grows in the woods surrounding the baglio and vineyards of Ulmo.

Nocera by Planeta is a Sicilian red obtained from this noble and ancient grape variety. The vine is grown in a few hectares in Capo Milazzo, in the Messina area, in the spectacular La Baronia vineyard surrounded by the sea, by centuries-old olive trees and under the gaze of the Aeolian Islands. The Barone Lucifero Foundation, owner of the fund, uses part of the proceeds for socio-cultural and recreational activities for the children of the Milazzo area.

The Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico Dorilli comes from a careful selection of the vineyards that surround the beautiful and unique estate of Dorilli, named after the nearby river Dirillo. A fine and elegant expression, fruit of the union of the noble Nero d’Avola with the Frappato of Vittoria, slightly marked by the refinement in wood.

Nero d’Avola, 50% Syrah Our Rosé, fresh and fruity, represents all the feelings of a Sicilian summer. Its colour is that of a summer sunset. The fresh aromas of strawberry make it a marvellously friendly wine, and easy to drink. Enjoy Planeta’s Rosé in good company, as an aperitif with tapas, raw fish, fresh salads or alone with seasonal fruit.

Moscato Bianco Allemanda is an opening baroque dance, as well as our Moscato Bianco. Dry, with intense scents of jasmine and citrus fruit, it is the fruit of the white and sun-drenched lands of Noto. A personal interpretation of an aperitif wine produced from indigenous aromatic grape varieties.

Carricante grapes This wine is produced in our Feudo di Mezzo winery, lying in the centre of Etna’s wine growing area, from Carricante grapes partially fermented in barriques. This is the result of searching for an expression of this noble grape cultivated in the unique and splendid terroir of Etna.

Cometa by Planeta is a great Sicilian white wine from 100% Fiano grapes in the municipality of Menfi. It has an intense and aromatic nose with notes of cut grass, exotic fruit and Mediterranean scrub. Elegant and rich at the same time. Organic Sicilian Chardonnay DOC Menfi
Full-bodied, intense and with a good structure, Planeta's Chardonnay is a white aged in oak barriques, destined for long ageing. Since 1985 the Chardonnay grapes have been grown in the vineyards of Ulmo and Maroccoli, unique for their position and terroir, to give life to an unmistakably Sicilian Chardonnay.

Syrah is a noble Mediterranean vine which gives of its best in sunny dry places like Sicily.

Our Merlot has enjoyed international attention since its first vintage. It has a small production from the hilly vineyards of Ulmo and Maroccoli.  This exceptional presentation of this noble grape, rich, round and powerful, is found in the winelists of the most prestigious restaurants and winebars round the world.

La Segreta red wine is born from the native Sicilian Nero d'Avola vine blended with international Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Franc grapes. A young and fresh wine produced by the Planeta family since 1995 which takes its name from the forest surrounding the ancient vineyards owned by Ulmo. The bond of this wine with nature is also taken up by the new label which depicts the Sicilian flora and expresses a hidden and powerful beauty grasped only by those who know how to admire it.

Santa Cecilia is the flagship wine of the Planeta winery, obtained from the most important Sicilian variety: Nero d'Avola. Santa Cecilia is an expression of elegance, power, balance and exaltation of the unique scents of the lands of Sicily, and today a reference point for reds from native Sicilian grapes. Its name derives from that of the family: Planeta di Santa Cecilia.

Organic Cerasuolo DOCG
A blend of Nero d'Avola and Frappato, Planeta's Cerasuolo di Vittoria is an organic red wine from the best Sicilian tradition, interpreted in a modern key. A unique wine, recognizable and unforgettable for its aromas of strawberries, cherries and berries, this Cerasuolo is an extremely gastronomic version that is also very popular for its fleshy and peppery notes. A seal of love between people and grape varieties. Nozze d’Oro is Conte Giuseppe Tasca’s tribute to his wife France after 50 years of marriage. Vigna San Francesco - Tenuta Regaleali
Tasca D'Almerita's Chardonnay is a Sicilian white wine made from grapes grown in the unrepeatable terroir of Regaleali. Produced with wisdom, Chardonnay Vigna San Francesco reaches the heights of perfection by surprisingly combining the refinement of the international grape and the radiance of the Mediterranean. The result is an elegant, intense, balanced and beautifully fresh wine.

Obtained from high hill Nero D'Avola grapes and Cabernet Sauvignon, Cygnus is an elegant, soft and sinuous Sicilian red wine. It is ideally dedicated to the composer Wagner who in 1881 completed "Parsifal" inspired by the swans of the small lake of Villa Tasca.

Towards the end of the 60’s, Count Giuseppe decided to create a special reserve of Regaleali Rosso, capable of aging like other great international red wines. A challenge he won in 1970 and renewed in successive vintages.

San Francesco Vineyard - Regaleali Estate
Cabernet Sauvignon in purity with Mediterranean notes and the typical structure of the high Sicilian hills, the Cabernet Sauvignon of Vigna San Francesco is an expression of the character of the vineyard from which it comes. The experimentation in the Regaleali estate of the most famous international red grapes has led to the creation of an amazing Cabernet Sauvignon. A powerful and austere but at the same time fresh wine. Excellent quality and body characterize the 2019 vintage.

Classic method sparkling wine
Almerita Brut is a Sicilian vintage created in 1987 for the friends of Count Giuseppe. Obtained from 100% Chardonnay grapes and elaborated with the Classic Method, in contact with the lees for 24 months, this sparkling wine of Tasca d'Almerita has a fine and persistent perlage and is delicately creamy and extraordinarily fresh on the palate.

Lamùri of Tasca D'Almerita is a Sicilian Nero d'Avola cultivated on the high hills. It takes its name from the winery's own love (Lamùri) for the production of its wines. Unlike the usual Nero d'Avola grown in the plains, Lamùri is characterized by primary aromas, without excesses of ripening.

International Syrah and DOC Monreale
Fresh wine of excellent drinkability, the Syrah produced by Tasca d'Almerita in the Sallier de la Tour estate represents the most varietal and identity-defining expression of the Monreale DOC territory. In fact, this international vine has perfectly adapted to the very hot but windy climate and clayey soil of Monreale (Vigna Ex-Pereto).

Among the red wines of the Planeta Cellars we offer you the Mamertino, whose name dates back to when the Mamertinis produced this wine described by Pliny and loved by Julius Caesar in Milazzo. It is a Sicilian blend of Nero d'Avola and Nocera grapes grown in The Baronia vineyard in Capo Milazzo. The Barone Lucifero Foundation, owner of the fund, uses part of the proceeds for socio-cultural and recreational activities for children in the Milazzo area.
