This Mandrarossa Cavadiserpe is a wonderful combination of Merlot and Alicante Bouschet. Its nose offers fruit-led fragrances reminiscent of forest fruits and cherry jam.

Catarratto and chardonnay grapes give this wine fresh Mediterranean scents and a savoury, elegant flavour with a typical hint of bitter almonds. Piano Maltese is the heart of the Tenuta Rapitalà, gentle hills at between 300 and 600 metres altitude, which, because of their history, terrain and climate endow wines with a special character. 

Some rain during the early part of 2003 restored the soil’s water reserves. The flowering and the setting followed their normal course. The summer was very hot and dry, but growth developed steadily. The vines, for long periods close to stress conditions, acquired a rich reserve of polyphenols enhanced by a sunny and airy August which enabled them to reach full phenolic maturation.

The vineyards where we select the grapes for the production of Nuhar (flower in Arabic) are cultivated at the heart of the mountain which overlooks the Tenuta and from which rises the river “Rabidh Allah". 

The 100% nero d’Avola gives this wine an exciting red colour, an aroma of ripe fruit and a typical, deep, balanced flavour. The terroir and the vineyard: this wine developed from a project which had as its objective the extraction of the maximum expression of terroir in terms of the intensity of the organoleptic characteristics present in the wine.

Made with 100% Grillo, a typical sicilian grape varietal, characterized by its brilliant yellow color with light gold and green flashes. It boasts a complex nose of exotic fruits and typical Sicilian aromas together with an elegant finish.

An excellent bordolese blend produced in the classic tradition. An impressive deep ruby/purple colour is followed by complex aromas of red and black currants intermixed with hints of graphite, cedar and subtle toasty oak.

Made with 100% nero d’avola grapes and vinified only in stainless vats. A medium bodied wine caracterized by its excellent balanced structure, and by is bouquet of complex notes of liquorice, blackberry currant fruits. A deep ruby colour with crimson flashes.
 

Made with 100% nero d’avola grapes. It boasts a dense purple color with classic aromas of cassis, liquorice, and Mediterranean soft black fruits revealing the essence of its Sicilian character. On the palate tannins are elegant and mellow, with great length.

We recommend serving red wines at 15℃ (59℉). This can be achieved by opening the wine and putting it into the fridge 15 min. before serving it.

The name Tane indicates the color dark reddish wine but in Sicilian dialect means Gaetana, the name of the administrator of the winery. Gaetana Jacono, representing the sixth generation.

Natural Passito Ecrù - Firriato Winery
The Ecrù is a natural sweet wine of unusual finesse, produced from Zibibbo grapes. The uniqueness of the L'Ecrù Passito is given by the method of infusing the raisin grapes into the wine, without prolonged, interrupted and distributed fermentation. Cold pressing with skins and first fermentation at a temperature of 8°C for around 12 hours, soft second pressing. Cold decanting and fermentation at a temperature of 18-20°C, period on the lees in stainless steel containers at least 4 months, and successive fining in the bottle.

- Color: pale yellow. - Scent: intense, rich, full, fruity with scents of ripe apples, citrus, anise and bitter almond. - Taste: dry, harmonic, full-bodied, reasonably acidulous, with after taste of anise and almond.
